Kilimanjaro Plantation Estate planted a million coffee trees from 2000 to 2005 with drip irrigation and a central wet mill for quality. In Kenya, Othaya Farmer Cooperative Society, part of KCCE, does coffee magic with nearly 4,000 co-op members, handling marketing and exporting. At Gatugi Factory, 500 active members process, ferment, soak, dry, sort, and grade coffee expertly, yielding about two 60kg bags of exportable green beans per Gatugi member.
