Café del Macizo

The Café del Macizo cooperative in Tolima, Colombia, is a group of 60 farmers who grow awesome Fairtrade Organic coffee on over 300 hectares of land. They started working together in 2003 to get better prices for their coffee. They use organic methods to grow different kinds of beans, and even have a fund to help farmers out when things get rough. The high altitude and great weather in the region mean their coffee is top-notch.

Tolima's lush, high-altitude slopes provide the perfect environment for specialty coffee cultivation. Smallholder farmers handpick ripe cherries and expertly process them on their farms, utilizing traditional fermentation and drying techniques. Colombia's got a perfect climate for coffee, so beans from this region are known for their full taste, a little zing, and a lasting sweetness. The best part is, more and more farmers are getting the recognition they deserve with special certifications that highlight their amazing coffee.

We Roast To Give Back

Powerbean Coffee is a specialty coffee from Duke City. We freshly roast each bag to order for peak freshness and are committed to giving back by supporting fair trade. This ensures a fair price for the 25 million smallholder farmers who produce 80% of the world's coffee.
